12/7 meeting "Table Talks"

Good morning fellow Toastmasters,

Our 12/7 meeting "Table Talks" has us thinking on our feet as we had an array of questions asked of our Table Topic master Daniel last night.

Our meeting started with a great opening invocation by Lucille and joke by Byron (both did a great job). Michael ran a very smooth meeting as we got out on time last night.

Daniel our Table Topic master asked us varying question which had us thinking and looking to the sky (as the questions made us think a little)

Brian then went over each TT speaker in great detail offering each speaker poignant advice.

Refreshments were provided by me, Byron, Martin, and Dee. All different snacks/refreshments very good selection. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Daniela spoke to us about keeping your eyes on the road while driving and how distracting it is. A very informative speech and eye opener on the hazards of driving while distracting. Juju gave a impromptu speech about her family tree in which we learned a lot about her AMAZING father. Both great speeches in their own right.

Both Lucille and Ernestina offered advice and feedback to their speaker.

Last night's meeting was a real treat, very fast paced and entertaining. Please note, Monday January 4th is our next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope to see everyone back real soon!!!

11/30 meeting "Argument"

Good morning fellow Toastmasters,

Our 11/30 meeting "Argument" saw us attempt to sell fellow Toastmasters on various products & I for one was sold!

Our meeting started with a great invocation message by Juju and a very funny opening joke by Sergio. Daniel, back from his vacation filled in admirably as our Toastmaster last night running a very smooth & fast meeting.

Charles our TT master last night brought in a "Bag 'O Goodies" for each of us to sell, and boy did we sell! We each selected an item which we then pitched to fellow Toastmasters. I saw a lot of very excited Toastmasters go up and speak last night. Who knows, we might all have a career in Sales/Marketing as a fall back career.

George then provided very honest feedback we could each put to use improving our speeches. ***GREAT JOB GEORGE***

Refreshments were provided by Florence. For those who missed it, Florence made salmon dip and brought in freshly cut fruit. Very healthy snacks…THANK YOU SO MUCH FLORENCE :)  And can’t forget Byron who provided warm water/tea on a very chilly night!

Lucille started the prepared speech portion of our meeting with a speech about Sears and her Thanksgiving which all worked out in the end. Martin followed her with his Icebreaker speech where we learned a little about his life. His speech had us listening so intently that he brought home his 1^st first ribbon by winning the best speaker of the night…CONGRATS MARTIN  :)

Both Brian and Ernestina offered their assigned speaker advice they could implement for their next speech.

Truly a fun and entertaining meeting. Can’t wait for next week as it’s our last regular meeting until after our Christmas break so let’s have a full house next Monday my fellow Toastmasters!

11/23 meeting "Thanksgiving"

Good morning fellow Toastmasters, our 11/23 meeting "Thanksgiving" had us counting our blessings & saw a small but excited group of Toastmasters attend the meeting.

Byron filled in as Invocation with a great opening monologue.

George our TTmaster asked all TT speakers varying questions which elicited great responses about being thankful. 

Ernestina offered very detailed advice to each TT speaker in attendance. We really appreciate the pointers given.

Refreshments & snacks aka small feast! were provided by Daniela with an assist from your truly, delivering the goodies. For those who missed out, truly a Subway feast for the ages  #YUM #EatFresh...Thank you Daniela  :)

Angelica, Fabian, & Michael all gave very entertaining speeches last night. Byron, George, & Juju offered very good advice to their speakers.

Although there weren't many of us last night, the Toastmasters in attendance did a great job filling in for the ones who could not attend.

We hope to see everyone next week.

11/16 meeting "Newspaper / Current Events"

Good afternoon fellow Toastmasters, our 11/16 meeting "Newspaper / Current Events" had us talking about what's going on in the world & in the life of fellow Toastmasters.

Daniela filled in by starting the meeting off right by giving us an impromptu Invocation message which was followed by Juju who ran a well organized meeting.

Byron our TT master gave us a choice of speaking on what's going on in the world or each speaker choosing their own topic. We heard some points of view from fellow Toastmasters and some personal news as well.

Michelle offered very good advice to each TT speaker attending last night with her trademark delivery  :)

Refreshments & snacks were provided by Juju. PIZZA PIZZA!!!! Thank you Juju for feeding us warm pizza pie on a cold night.

Dee, Daniel, & Florence all gave well rounded speeches / performances last night. Byron, myself, & Angelica evaluated their Toastmaster and offered usable advice to all.

Although we were few, it was really a good meeting last night.

We know it's chilly out, but try your best to join us even if you experience "shaky knees" due to the cold weather lol.  We'll see everyone next week!!!

11/9 meeting "DREAMS"

Good morning fellow Toastmasters, our 11/9 meeting "DREAMS" had us thinking of our dreams and aspirations.

Brian our TT master asked various questions about our thoughts and dreams. All table topic toastmasters did a great job of painting a picture of their dreams.

Daniela offered very poignant advice to all Table Speakers (really challenged us to improve!)

Refreshments & snacks were provided by Luis. Martin brought something as well. Thank you both for the goodies.

Juju (Sounds - whistle/peacock), Michelle (Don't Kick the Bucket), & George (Intro to Healthcare) all gave very informative speeches last night.

Daniel, Migo, & Charles all provided each of their assigned speakers constructive feedback they could use.

Definitely one of the most interesting and interactive meetings we've had in a while. This is what Toastmasters is all about!

All in all a great meeting....we hope to see everybody again next Monday to continue the strong meeting we had yesterday.
