Hello Fellow Toastmasters, our 09/28 meeting themed "Childhood" started us off down memory
lane and reminiscing about our past.
Garvin stepped in to share a motivational invocation about getting out, doing something different
and getting outside our comfort zone. Charles entertained us with his joke about coconuts ... watch
Our Toastmaster Daniel kept the meeting running smoothly and Ernestina stepped in as our General
Evaluator to give us a succinct recap of the meeting and provide additional suggestions for our
speakers. Juju asked us questions about our childhood memories that made us think on our feet.
Thank you to Byron, Martin and Juju for providing wonderful and tasty refreshments!
The second half of our meeting hosted our three speakers. Alex gave us an informative speech on
'smart phones' and how much time people spend on them, Michael shared with us the 'Silver Lining' of the mishaps from his recent family vacation, and Ricardo once again practiced his contest speech 'Worm in a Bottle.'
Garvin and Fabian gave our speakers helpful suggestions for the future, and Ricardo was given a
group evaluation to help perfect his Tall Tales speech and make it competition ready.
Lastly, Fabian reminded us it is time to pay our dues, and to please bring in our dues by next meeting.
All in all it was a smooth meeting and great to see everyone who came out.
