Procrastination

Fellow Toastmasters,

Last night was a memorable one. Our past president, Ricardo, was back after a few months hiatus….and I must say, looking quite

tan and rested.  So good to see him.

Michelle got things rolling with her inspiring invocation on looking at the good and positive that life has to offer.  This followed by Juju as Joke Master and Alex our capable Toastmaster of the evening. Topic Master Larry, did a wonderful job with the theme “Procrastination”.  He not only asked thoughtful questions, but offered us a host of funny quotations as well. 

The second half, which followed a feast provided by August and others…thank you, was entertaining and informative.  Three speeches from Daniella (A walk down memory lane with her grandfather, August (How to find true love in CAVES), and Sam (30 second impressions)  highlighted the evening.  Ernestina provided us insight on effective evaluations.

Memory

Fellow Toastmasters,

We had a nice crowd on hand for last night’s meeting. 

Toastmaster of the evening Lucille,  kept the order and had us all laughing, especially during her table topic.  Speaking of table topics, the original theme was Memory, however, we improvised on that theme to “What I want out of Toastmasters”.  Got to tell you, the energy, humor and sincerity was a level 10.  Alex followed through with a thorough and energetic evaluation.

Two speeches in the second half from Sindy (Successful Club Series on Speech introductions) and Daniel, his second manual speech (Twin brother).  Both made this such a

memorable Monday evening.

We missed all of you who couldn’t make it last night, but we’ll catch you next week.

Day Light Saving

Good morning fellow toastmasters.
Our meeting last nite was extraordinary,full of energy, Daniel doing an excellent job as toastmaster,
With 3 excellent speakers, Benjamin giving his icebreaker we got to know more about him talking about 2 very important persons in his life,it was very touching, and he took the trophy.
Larry delivering his 10th speech inspiring the audience, and he did, we all want to volunteer on the special Olympics. 
Garvin getting ready for the international speech contest next week 3-16-15.

Followed by great evaluations, Cindy took the trophy.
Michael took the best table topic trophy, everyone did a fantastic job.
Juju provided delicious refreshments.

We look forward to see you all next Monday 3-16-15  @7pm, for the area speech contest.

Nature

There were 18 brave souls at our meeting last night.  It was a bit chilly outside, but we had a hot meeting with “Nature” as our theme.

Michael presented  a wonderful story on the boy scouts working together with nature in conserving and beautifying our environment.

Garvin our Toastmaster, and Daniel as general evaluator got us rolling into Table Topics. 

Joan was excellent again, as our topic master, with very insightful questions. This, followed by Fabian, who gave a concise evaluation of the participants.

Three speeches from self, Florence, and Daniella. Topics were Mentorship, Simba’s life lesson, and a Healthy New Life.  Congratulations Daniella for your
